Treatment: Adamite is never treated for gem or collector purposes. Its value lies in its natural crystal form, color, and fluorescence. Synthetic adamite is not produced for the gem market.
Body (Clarity/Transparency): Adamite crystals are transparent to translucent. They are known for a brilliant vitreous to adamantine luster. Colors are strikingly vibrant: apple-green (from copper impurities), yellow, violet, pink, or colorless. It has perfect cleavage and is very brittle, making faceting exceptionally difficult. Faceted stones are extreme rarities and exclusively for advanced collectors.
